Randy Julian has extensive knowledge and understanding of Elliott Wave and institutes it into his trading, but waits for his momentum indicators to confirm his Elliott Wave analysis. Randy Julian implements stricts money management policies and says "I never get married to my positions, because I know I will be divorced from my money." Years of technical analysis led Randy Julian to develop a proprietary mathematical formula (Via Momentum) used in implementing JMFT "Investment Tactics" to maximize returns in client mutual fund portfolios. Via Momentum is designed to take advantage of the short-term swings of the various Stock and Sector Indices. The "lack of momentum" in the Via Momentum formula calculates when a buy or sell signal should occur in the Stock and Sector Indices. Mutual fund buy and sell signals in the Via Momentum formula are based on the "momentum" of each wave created by the individual index itself.
